Pine Siskins Arrive in Western Pennsylvania

December 02, 2012  •  Leave a Comment

It has been a while since I have seen these cute little birds of the north. Back in 2009 was the last time any siskins were at my feeders. They love thistle seed and chatter away while eating.

Very happy to have them back if only for a little while.

Pine Siskin, (Spinus pinus).
